Hermitage Foundation Director Geraldine Norman has two book launches!

Director of the Hermitage Foundation UK Geraldine Norman first fell in love with the Hermitage while researching The Hermitage: The Biography of a Great Museum, which was published in 1997. Members of the Hermitage UK Friends, sponsors and supporters will all know of Geraldine's commitment to spreading the word about the Hermitage's achievements and promoting and supporting its great projects. 2018 is a big year for the Hermitage in English and for Geraldine. An updated edition of The Biography of a Great Museum has just been released (click here for more information), following hard on the launch of the Russian translation of Geraldine's 2017 book on Professor Mikhail Piotrovsky and his family's involvement with the Hermitage Museum, Dynastic Rule: Mikhail Piotrovsky and the Hermitage.  


On 17 May 2018 the Russian translation of Dynastic Rule: Mikhail Piotrovsky and the Hermitage (Unicorn Press,  2017) was presented in Moscow at the House of Books on the Arbat. Пиотровские Хранители Ковчега (The Piotrovskys, Guardians of the Treasure House) is now going to be presented in St Petersburg, at Bukvoed on Nevsky Prospekt.
